This is my first blog and I am using this blog as a record of some of the material and information I gather during my continuing education courses.
To tell you a little bit about myself, Commercial fishing has been a family legacy , and I have over 25 years fishing. There isn't a time when I don't love being on the boat, good or bad there it is always an interesting adventure and the feeling of accomplishment. Besides from fishing, my hobbies entail fixing and repairing classic cars, mid 50's - mid 80's Chevrolets mainly. Working on cars with my dad when I was young was the driving force that led me into the automotive industry. In grade 8 I found out that the high school I was going to attend would be dropping auto class by the time I would be able to take the class. The shop class teacher and I got along well, he saw my interest in automotive and asked if I wanted to work for him after school and help out in the transfer of the shop equipment to another high school. Soon after, I transferred to Carson Graham in the pursuit of the automotive class where I found BCIT offers an onsite campus for students to take a first year entry level automotive program. In grade 12 I graduated with honors from Carson Graham with my first year apprenticeship competed from the BCIT program. I have since been working at a small shop for the past 14 years, completing my apprenticeship and becoming a red seal journeyman Automotive Service Technician.

My plan is to use this a resource for future reference, but also to share my findings for anyone else's interest.
